Fudgy Chai Spiced Protein Balls
These Fudgy Chai Spiced Protein Balls are the kind of thing you make once and keep in the fridge for the moments when you need something quick, grounding, and actually satisfying. With a base of almond meal, protein powder and tahini, they offer a balanced mix of protein and healthy fats to help support steady energy, while the warm chai spices bring a boost of antioxidants and a comforting, naturally sweet flavour. Simple to make and easy to come back to, they’re a low-effort option that still does something good for you.
Fudgy Chai Spiced Protein Balls
9+ Plants
2 cups almond meal
2 tbsp protein powder
1 cup tahini
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cloves
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir well to combine.
Roll mixture into balls (about ¾ tablespoon each).
Roll in something dry (like seeds or spices) to make handling and storing easier (see More Plants note).
Place balls into a container and store in fridge until ready to eat.
Add more plants:
Use sesame seeds, chia seeds, cacao powder or cacao nibs to roll the balls in to make handling and storing easier.
Add 1-2 tbsp cacao to the mixture for an indulgent chocolate-y twist.
Add 1-2 tbsp freshly brewed coffee to the mixture for a ‘dirty chai alternative. If the mixture becomes too wet, add an extra tablespoon of almond meal.
